Description:

The Grundig 98 Asa radio is technically almost the same as the Grundig 87a.
The main differences are:

Better tone control, both on treble and bass.
Better loudness control.
P.U./Tape Recorder entrance.
Better and safe power supply.
Better power amplifier circuit.

Repairs:

No components are replaced. Only the contact of the wave band switches are cleaned. All the components are OK and the voltage measurements are corrects.

Performance:

The reception of the broadcast stations are very good, but the audio performance is a bit less a usual from Grundig. The Grundig 98 Asa lacks a bit in the highest audio frequencies response.
