Description:

This small radio has only MW and FM reception. There are no extra connectors for a record player or an extra loudspeaker.

Repairs:

This radio is in a very poor condition. cabinet is broken and there is a thick nicotine layer as well as a lot of sticky dust inside. First I have cleaned the cabinet as well as fixing the cabinet with super glue.
Before making any repairs and measurement, a safety transformer is used as well as a series bulb of 220V~ 60W is used. After a few minutes, I found out there are no big problems.

Performance:

After these repairs, the radio plays quite well. Due to the high resonance frequency of the loudspeaker, the sound lacks in the bass.

Disclaimer:


This radio is directly supplied from the mains power. The high voltage supply is directly taken from the mains power, which means the radio chassis and components  carries the 230 Volt~ mains voltage, which is very dangerous. Before making any repairs on the radio or playing the radio without the back plate, use a safety transformer with separate windings. The insulation of the windings must withstand at least 4000 Volts AC as well as a low leakage current of 0.5 mA~ or less.
